2012 Gold Star Awards "Hands Up! for Highline Schools"

 

The Annual Gold Star Awards is the largest fundraiser that supports the entire Highline School District. At this event, not only do we honor outstanding district educators, volunteers, alumni and staff, we raise critical funds to support our 18,000+ public school students in areas that state funding does not.

Oktoberfest Dinner Dance, and Auction

2011 Oktoberfest is over and together, we raised over $45,000 for students in our district—a record amount for this event! These funds will be used to directly support classroom innovation through teacher grants, sports participation fees, arts programs, college readiness, scholarships and other programs that directly help our students.

Brat Trot 5K Run

We had more than DOUBLE the amount of registered runners this year --- nearly 1,000!  Over 1,500 runners and spectators enjoyed a great community day on October 9, 2011. Thank you to our sponsors and to The Tin Room for this great event! All proceeds benefit two important local organizations — Highline Schools Foundation and Safe Kids King County South.

STIA Golf Tournament

Thank you to The Port of Seattle and HMS Host for another wonderfully successful STIA Golf Tournament on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Fairwood Golf and Country Club.  It was a great day of golf, festivities and a wonderful dinner and auction—all to benefit scholarships for Highline School District students! We’re honored to be part of the event and are so grateful to be the benefitting organization.
