Bill Maynard Memorial Scholarship

Administered by the Highline Schools Foundation

The Bill Maynard Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of the late Bill Maynard, a beloved figure in the Highline School District.  Bill was the coordinator of the Steps to Success program, and he cared deeply for the students that he worked with.

In honor of the work that Bill performed, this scholarship will be awarded to an individual who has struggled to overcome great adversity.  The candidates will not be evaluated by their grade point or SAT scores, but by their future plans, financial need and their ability to succeed and learn from their personal challenges.

One (1) graduating student from the Highline School District will be awarded this $500 scholarship and it may be used towards college tuition or supplies for the Fall 2012 term. The Bill Maynard Memorial Scholarship will be sent directly to the college/university of the recipient, and may only be used for tuition or supplies.

Applications and official transcripts must be submitted to the Highline Public Schools by March 23, 2012. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Completed Applications Must be Received by Friday, March 23, 2012
